These lines are versatile which means you will pay an upcharge for more options.

With that said, new modern kitchen cabinets can cost from $2,500 to $24,000. Most cabinet orders average between $5,500 and $13,000. This includes all three cabinet categories: stock (RTA), semi-custom and custom cabinets.

Each component of high-quality cabinets is typically made from a few different materials. Cabinet boxes are generally constructed from durable materials like furniture board, high-density fiberboard (HDF), or plywood. These materials will stand the test of time and provide a hearty cabinet box for storage.

For the most durable drawer boxes, look for hardwood boxes with dovetail construction. They are usually standard in most cabinet lines along with soft-closing guides and soft-closing door hinges. Cabinet doors on the other hand can be made from maple, birch, oak, cherry, walnut, hickory or HDF with a wood veneer.
