Galley kitchens have a lot to give. Although they often are associated with a smaller layout, there are so many things that can be done to add value, improve storage and overall enjoyment of the space. That’s exactly what this client and did. They took an old kitchen in need of remodeling and turned it into a trendy and spacious layout.
Getting started this homeowner worked with CliqStudios designer, Amy Amman. Together, they chose to go with shaker cabinets for a simple look. The whole kitchen was designed in Mercury line’s Duluth door style in Chalk and Pebble. A two-tone design elevated this kitchen giving it a wow-factor and interest.
In addition to color and style, the kitchen's function was improved. Large drawers were added next to the range for storing pots and pans along with plenty of wall cabinet storage. Countertop space is now abundant giving Amy’s client plenty of places to prep food, wash dishes and more.
To complete the kitchen, Amy’s client used white quartz countertops to brighten the kitchen even more. The light and airy color scheme was complemented by the openness of the half-wall behind the kitchen sink. Altogether, these details took this kitchen from outdated to spacious, functional and on-trend.
