Peter wanted a classic look. Something traditional, with a timeless appeal. As selling his house and moving was a possibility in his five to ten year plan, he wanted to ensure that his kitchen would appeal to a wide range of buyers.
Living by himself in a small home in Tinton, New Jersey, Peter reached out to CliqStudios to help him with his cabinetry and kitchen design. He was very impressed with the professional craftsmanship and quality of construction of the cabinet door samples he ordered. The sample doors helped him choose the traditional Decorative raised-panel door style in a classic white paint.
“Even a Small Kitchen is a Big Project”
Having a small kitchen made Peter especially attentive to every detail. In addition to creating a classy, sophisticated look, he also wanted to maximize the efficiency and functionality of the square kitchen.
“Even a small kitchen is a big project,” said kitchen designer Randall Lovcik. “The challenge is making sure it’s functional. You need enough room – countertop space, room for cooking, landing surfaces on both sides of the range. There are a lot of moving parts, especially if you do it professionally and do it well.”
Together, Peter and Randall went through each detail of the little L-shaped kitchen. As only nine or ten cabinets would be able to fit into the space, each one was important. They added tray dividers to the base cabinets and easy-to-reach spice pull-out storage by the range. They added crown molding to integrate the cabinetry with the room and added under cabinet molding to conceal task lighting under the cabinets.
The cabinetry was ordered and arrived complete and without any issues. The contractor was impressed with the cabinet quality as well as the flawless delivery. As for Peter – he was very happy about the remodeling process and pleased with his new space.
